Washington, D.C. — Voters have soured on Obama's promise of hope and change according to a new poll conducted by Zogby International that finds a majority of voters feel the President's agenda of "change" has made America worse. The Poll, conducted June 25-28 surveyed 2,061 likely voters.
The Poll asked:
When President Obama was elected, he promised change. Do you think the change he brought has made our country better or worse?
A 52 percent majority of American voters say that Obama's change has made the country worse, while 44 percent believe his change has made the country better.
Among Independents, 56 percent feel Obama's change has made the country worse, while 40 percent feel his change has made the country better.
Among taxpayers, 55% of those who had to pay taxes last year say Obama's change has made the country worse, and 44% of those who did not have to pay taxes last year (due to low income or deductions that left them with no tax liability) think Obama's change has made the country better.
Among voters over the age of 65, 50% feel that Obama's change has made the country worse, while 47% say his change has made the country better. Among small business owners or partners, 59 percent say Obama's change has made the country worse, and just 38% say his change has made the country better.
Finally, 91% of voters who value the endorsements of tea party organizations say Obama's change has made the country worse, while only 9% feel the country has been made better by Obama's change.
